Moyo and Mpofu lock horns

Zanu PF chairman Simon Khaya Moyo and the Minister of mines Obert Mpofu are in a succession battle to prove who is powerful than the other. This comes amid reports when a row erupted between the two at a politburo session last week. Power and dominance are the background of the stormy fights that have been constantly recurring. It is unfortunate to note that innocent individuals have been pulled into the power struggle and have become the soccer ball being tossed and kicked to and forth. Moyo is said to have been angry at Mpofu for 'randomly' changing the provincial leadership without consultation. Mpofu's actions in this case are really not excusable, as the appointment of officials is not a one man job but rather should follow the correct protocol. Moyo is supposedly angry at Mpofu for sacking Matabeleland North chairman Zenzo Ncube and replacing him with his ally (Mpofu), Zwelitsha Masuku. To retaliate Moyo fired  Masuku and replaced him with Headman Moyo, who was again sacked by Moyo for his association with Mpofu and replaced with Sithokozile Mathuhthu. Moyo and Mpofu's actions have rather become a play and are building up to a childish game which is only showing their stupidity in the process.
